TOPE FAMILY PAGE

    Henry Tope, son of George Tope and Elizabeth Everett, was born in 1813 in Jefferson Co., Ohio, and died in July 1849 in Peru, LaSalle Co., Illinois.  He married Catharine Croghan on 16 June 1836 in Carroll Co., Ohio.  She was born 1818 in Carroll Co., Ohio, and died in July 1849 in Peru, La Salle Co., Illinois.

Henry and Catherine had four children:

1.  William A. Tope was born in 1837, Carroll Co., Ohio and died  24 April 1862, Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.
2. Hiram G. Tope was born 1 July 1839, Carroll Co., Ohio and died  1900, Carroll Co., Ohio.
3. John H. Tope was born in 1841, Carroll Co., Ohio and died  after 1896.
4. Catherine M. Tope was born in 1884.
