Roy Clark Maddux, son of Marion C. Maddux and Venora Mabel Jones, was born 6 January 1903 in Myrtle, Logan County, Oklahoma Territory, and died 11 July1982 in Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.  He married Sylvia Lucile Douglas, daughter of William Douglas and Julia Gibbonson, on  12 August 1925 in Laverne, Harper County, Oklahoma.  She was born 18 June 1903 in Ingersoll, Alfalfa County, Oklahoma Territory, and died 21 August 1965 in North Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.  The cause of her death was an automobile accident near Vaughn, Arkansas.

 Roy and Sylvia Maddux had two children:

1. Cressie Faye Maddux was born in Harper County, Oklahoma.  She married Jimmie Joe Gonzales, son of Paul Gonzales and Maria Jimeniz Corpus in Christi, Nueces County, Texas.  He was born 27 October 1927 in Amherst, Lamb County, Texas, and died 13 December 1983 in Texarkana, Bowie County, Texas.
2. Austin Dale Maddux was born in Laverne, Harper County, Oklahoma.  He married Nellie Delores Tope, daughter of Harry Tope and Mabel Coats, in Sikeston, Scott County, Missouri.  She was born in Earle, Crittenden County, Arkansas.
